What I Ate Wednesday (1/2/13)
A lot of you ask me what I eat on a daily basis so I have decided to start posting what I ate every Wednesday-and what better time to start my new weekly post than the new year!
For breakfast I had Acai (you can see my Acai bowl recipe here) blended with coconut water and organic blueberries, topped with 1 cup of Erewhon Buckwheat & Hemp cereal, 1 tbsp of chia seeds, and 1 tbsp of almond butter.
and a large veggie juice to help me get over this cold I acquired while on vacation in Colorado- carrot, orange, beet, celery, spinach, parsley, cucumber, and kale- (the one pictured is actually my juice from the day before because I forgot to take one this morning!)
I am a nanny for two precious little girls and since they are not back in school yet I had them for the whole day today. I had a Chai To Relax from Daily Juice while we were at the Children's Museum.
Then I had this kale salad that I picked up from Daily Juice earlier, along with a small slice of gluten free pizza (not pictured). I took the girls to get pizza & they didn't finish all of it so of course I couldn't let it go to waste! :)
In the afternoon I snacked on a handful of almonds and goji berries. and 2 small pieces of organic dark chocolate (not pictured)
I had my dinner while picking up some groceries at Whole Foods. Quinoa, black beans, kale, organic chicken, cheese and green salsa.
and I finished the night with Whole Foods Health Starts Here peanut butter banana pudding- bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder & sea salt- It was so delicious!
I usually don't eat out for so many meals (I enjoy to cook and make my own food) but I just got home from vacation and didn't have any groceries in my apartment.
Until next Wednesday!
