Caramelized Onion & Goat Milk Mac 'n' Cheese
⚡️Caramelized onion & goat milk Mac n Cheese⚡️
A tangy yummy twist on your fav pasta dish, GF & easy to digest! 🐐🥛 #sponsored
Goats milk is much easier on the digestive system compared to cows milk.
The goats milk gives it a salty, tangy taste and then when combined with the sweetness of caramelized onions it’s basically a party in your mouth! 🎉
I highly recommend making this next time you have friends over! It stands out over your standard Mac n cheese and it’s sooo creamy and good!
I made this for some friends the other night & we all went back for thirds 😉
1/4 cup @meyenberggoatmilk goat milk
1 large white onion, finely chopped
1 box of pasta (I used @eatbanza gf shells)
.5 lb goat cheese Gouda, chopped into squares
2 tbsp @meyenberggoatmilk butter
2 tbsp organic corn starch (you can use tapioca or arrowroot flour for a corn free version)
A few grinds of pink salt, add more to taste
1/2 cup of water
2 tbsp @majesticgarlic garlic fluff
1. Caramelize your onion.
Coat a pan with a generous pour of avocado oil and bring to medium heat. Pour your onions in and some salt. Stir the onions on medium to high heat for a few mins to really coat them with the oil. Then bring the heat down to low and let cook for at least 20 mins. If they start sticking to the pan you can add a little water or some more oil. You can take them off whenever they turn into a really nice golden brown and all the liquid is evaporated.
2. While your onions are caramelizing, cook your pasta according to the box
3. In a separate pan add your butter and start to melt. Slowly stir in the water, goat milk and corn starch until fully mixed.
4. Add in the goat cheese, stirring periodically until fully melted
5. Take off heat and add the garlic fluff.
6. Finally pour your pasta into your cheese sauce and lastly throw the caramelized onions in.
7. Serve piping hot and enjoy!
